ACRYLIC AND COLORED PENCIL ON SATIN

Simple, beautiful things regulate my brain. Insect wings, flying fish, feathered wings, orchids, the carnivorous sundew, sea creatures, cuttlefish, scales, iridescence, refraction, pearls, and a spiraled horn.

I love surrounding myself with beautiful things in everyday life, so why not paint it? This painting concept and form just fell in my lap. Originally I planned to cut the satin to make a more “workable” size but ended up using it all.

This imagery means the world to me.
